POWERFUL DAILY AFFIRMATIONS

Affirmations can be little life savers in times of need, and in times when your mind isn’t feeling its hottest.

It can feel silly to begin with, and the idea of affirmations often gets a few eye rolls because we are so conditioned to believe that speaking positively to ourselves is self indulgent, or even a denial of reality. But really, affirmations aren’t about boosting your ego, or pretending your reality doesn’t exist, they are positive statements that can help shape our mindset

Our thoughts create our reality, but our reality also create our thoughts. Our past reality that is. Our responses and emotions about situations are based on our past experiences and learnt knowledge, stored in our subconscious mind. By using positive phrases regularly to reframe the situation, we can start to shift the narrative of how we feel about a situation, shift limiting beliefs, lessening the trauma response we have in certain situations. Affirmations can help shift our energy, raise our vibration, bring peace to our lives, and empower us to feel more hopeful and positive.

Our thoughts are such a powerful tool is trained regularly. Affirmations are a great way to reframe that and start to improve your daily mindset, and increase your self worth.

An affirmation is simply a positive statement that we say as fact, a declaration of what we hope to be true. Research has shown that affirmations can help reduce stress and anxiety and help give clarity to a situation. Telling yourself ‘I am powerful’ to feel powerful seems a bit idealistic, but if you truly believe it, repeating it to yourself helps inked that feeling. So then in moments where you feel less powerful you can draw on that, soon you mind will remind you how powerful you are!

What they aren’t are miracle statements!

Telling yourself you are in good health but continuing to eat takeaways every night and not exercise won’t work. Equally telling yourself you’re a magnet for money, if you don’t feel truly worthy of it will most likely not bring in the results you want!

Affirmations should be part of a holistic approach, and they should be personal to you. Yes, use inspiration from other, and sure, if other peoples affirmations resonate with you and light you up, use them. But don’t force them, just saying it will not magically make you feel better. Your need to FEEL IT BEFORE YOU AFFRIM IT. The best way I have found to create my own affirmations is in 2 steps.

Firstly I do a gratitude list for myself. I sit with myself and list all the things I am grateful for about ME. What are the traits I love about myself, what am I proud of. Then I visualise where I see myself in the future. Who I want to be, and where I feel ready to move forward.

I have been using affirmations into my spiritual practices for years and they have been so supportive for me, and helped me create a more positive, confident and hopeful outlook. So I have put together a guide of some of my favourite affirmations in the areas of health, self love, abundance and general grounding, with a great guide on how to create your own. use the 100 affirmation examples to build your own or use them directly, if they resonate with you and where you are and what to grow.
