Cleansing Your Energy

We are going through an energetically very heavy time right now. We are all made of energy and as we walk through this world we will unconsciously pick up energy from our surroundings, other people, positive and negative. When we soak up others peoples energy, it can throw a lot off balance, and it cause stuck energy. Energy needs to be able to flow so sometimes it is neccesary we learn how to help remove it and let it flow.

We can not truly serve the causes and people as we need to if we are not letting ourselves clear out negative energy.

It is important we take those regular breaks to make sure we are not holding on to anything that needs to be shifted.

Here are some ways you can cleanse and clear your energy:

  • TAKE A BREAK - away from social media, away from the news. If you have stuck energy you want to make sure you are not just adding more to it. Practice some social self care by removing energy that always impacts you negatively, whether that is IG accounts, media outlets or real people.

  • BREATHWORK - Oxygenate your system, breath it cleansing breath out negativity. Lions breath, breath of fire are both great practices for this. Or you could go deeper and do a full transformational breath session.

  • SMUDGE - Smudge. It. Away. Burning herbs in the form of a smudge stick to pass over what is bringing you negativity, or to smudge around yourself to remove energy.

  • JOURNAL - Put your thoughts down on paper. Writing out your thoughts and what is blocking your energy, and bringing you negativity, can help release it. Follow it up with affirmations to re-affrim the positive. Keep doing it daily to release more.

  • MOVE - Get moving. Practice some slow flow yoga, yin, kundalini and nidra are our favourite for energy release. Or if it works better for you, dance, run, walk. Take notice of your body, relax your shoulders, feel space in your muscles and let your body be free!

  • MEDITATE - Find a meditation that works for you, whether it is a short 5 minute mantra meditation or a 20 minutes stillness. Either way mediation is a must for shifting anything and everything! Insight Timer app is our favourite guided meditation tool for getting started.

  • NATURE - Taking a walk in nature is a great way to clear energy. Walking can be a really powerful form of mediation. You could even practice grounding whilst out there. Grounding to the earth, barefoot, on the grass can help re-connect you and clear out stuck energy

  • BATH - Cleansing baths are such a powerful, underrated, tool to release negativity. Add Epsom salts and cleansing herbs and/or essential oils, and soak away. Take it one step further by visualising the negative vibes elating away.
